Well, glad I didn't bother with them atleast. I wonder if they just sold out, or simply don't have them.

I have a suspicion that they just flat out never got them. They have tons of the TF sets, and I'd wager that TF is a bigger series, and I was at Best Buy the day after the set was supposed to come out and they didn't have any.

And the problem is is that Best Buy's website has it for about the same price the company that made it does, and Best Buy doesn't have the free shipping Shout Factory does.

I would totally do that, but I think I'm going to get the Joe set for Christmas....although I do see Parker Lewis Can't Lose on there....and that's not a bad price for the new MST3K set....

And now I'm kicking myself for not getting the set with the Crwo figurine when I had the chance.

Finally came home from Black Friday shopping...went to Maine & New Hampshire. We started going out on Thursday @ 11pm to get to the stores and I don't think we came home until around 4pm Friday. It was crazy in Maine. We stood in the checkout line at TRU for 3 hours. A fight broke out in the parking lot but I just missed it. Walmart was absolutely nuts as well. I did manage to get some good deals on stuff.

Does this make sense to anyone? My fucking grandpa went into the hospital on like Thanksgiving night for something with his gallbladder and was going to get out sometime that week after the weekend, so he is about to get out and then they see that his lungs have mucus on them and they say now he has fucking pneumonia. So they started to give him medicine and and he was getting better and was about to be released today until he started to feel sick when he was going to leave so now they've found out that he has some mother fucking rare lung virus from the fucking hospital. I mean is it just me or does that just seem wrong? I thought hospitals were a place where you go to feel better but now it just seems that if you go there you are going to get sicker and sicker which just doesn't make sense. Sorry about the rant but it is just bugging the shit out of me.

Sorry about the rant but it is just bugging the shit out of me. Sorry to hear that man, it's a shitty situation, and yeah I've been through it myself. My great grandmother and one of my grandfather's went into the hospital for pnuemonia, and got progressively worse. We thought about going the malpractice route in both cases, but no one really had the heart to do it. Hopefully in the case of your grandfather he gets better. It's a fucked up time of year to have someone you love get a serious illness. I wish you and your family all the best.

Working at a hospital, it is just a fact of life that some patients will get a hospital caused infection. I mean, think about how many SICK people are around and how many others will carry that infectious agent with them. Where I work there are antibacterial hand sanitizers in every single room for the nurses and doctors to use but a lot of things slip through the cracks.
The longer you stay at the hospital, the bigger chances you have of catching something from the hospital. It sounds like your grandfather has been there a while, about a week and a half, and unfortunately it happens. Usually they can give him a course of antibiotics and usually, everything turns out fine. The fact that he got pneumonia is probably the result of not moving that much after surgery, which falls on the patient and the staff. The staff should be encouraging the patient to get up and walk and use the intrensive spirometer to keep the lungs moving and not in stasis to get pneumonia, but you can only do so much, and if the patient doesn't do those things, they have a very increased chance of getting pneumonia.
Also Nick, you can't really go the malpractice route in these cases because the doctor or nursing staff didn't do anything wrong in order for the patient to get an infection in the hospital setting. It just happens because you are there. I guess you could MAYBE get them if they aren't using the proper handwashing precautions or the proper gowning when seeing infectious patients. Usually now, due to the increase in hospital induced infections, the most that happens is that insurance won't pay for them, so it just adds to the hospitals cost. Which is why we have handwashing precautions, protocols for how to gown up (standard, droplet and airborne precautions) and the alcohol sanitizers in each room.
Hope your grandfather gets well, and it is very unfortunate it happened to him but it is a very common occurrence and I hope I shed some light on the subject!

Thanks Nick, supposedly they're sending down some lung specialist this week so hopefully that will help.
And oh god JJ I was just thinking about how much this is turning into a House episode. What I am really waiting for is that this is going to take awhile and then they'll figure out it was actually nothing at all but this tiny little thing they were too stupid not to realize in the first place.
Also I don't want me to sound like a total hypocrite after the shit I said about the people on WF post stuff like "omg mi dad died plz say prayr" for me its more of how the fuck does this shit happen. Why is it when I look up pneumonia on wikipedia(I know not the best source) or something like that they have a section for people who get it in a hospital? Its almost 2010 why haven't we figured out this shit yet.
Edit: Thank you also Steve.

Even though we can put brand new hearts in people and keep people living for 20, 30, 40 years longer than they should, we're still powerless against stopping anything viral. We're smart, but we're also a depressingly weak species too.

I know, it is really tough to watch I am sure and I know it doesn't make sense. People think they are in a hospital to rest and get better but very rarely do they get any rest and they only get better 60-70% of the time.
It's a shitty system, and thanks to the insurance companies things aren't getting much better. I honestly don't know how much Obamacare would help the situation, but at this point, it is time for something new because the old system is horribly broken.

So it seems like they no longer make the old game 'Simon'. I've been trying to find it for a decent price, but not a single store seems to have it and the prices online are fucking ridiculous. Anyone have any idea where I could find it?

Something happened. They still make Simon, only it's called Simon Trickster now, and they haven't discontinued it, at least not officially, but somethings happened and it's impossible to get a hold of in retail, hence why Amazon deems it necessary to charge 200 bucks for it.

Yeah I saw the 'Simon Trickster' and even that is going for insane prices. I'm seriously pissed off and really want to play Simon. I may have gotten a hold of a hand held version for $5 via kijiji though so I'm hopeful.
