"Panic Attack" by Dream Theater or Finger Eleven "Chop Suey" by System of a Down "Give It Away" by Red Hot Chili Peppers "Everlong" by Foo Fighters "Kids In America" by Kim Wilde "Ace of Spades" by Motörhead "Hello There" by Cheap Trick "Anyway You Want It" by Journey "Pinball Wizard" by The Who
Looks pretty solid already. I really hope to see some Dream Theater, but I don't want "Panic Attack". I want some old school shit.

I betcha Pinball Wizard was a DLC track, since it's reportedly been in the pipeline since the beginning.

I actually hate the song so that would be fine with me. The lyrics of that song are just down and out disturbing.

Here are some more.
"One Step Closer" by Linkin Park "Peace Sells" by Megadeth "Testify" by Rage Against The Machine "American Woman" by The Guess Who "White Wedding" by Billy Idol "You Oughta Know" by Allanis Morrisette "Aqua Lung" by Jethro Tull "Bad Reputation" by Joan Jett "Drain You" by Nirvana "Man in the Box" by Alice In Chains "Spoonman" by Soundgarden "We Got The Beat" by the Go-Gos
These ones were apparently leaked by someone on the Scorehero forums and then they were quickly deleted citing a NDA. If these are true I can't fucking wait for Rock Band 2.

Hey Everybody,
Coming at you a day early with the announce as we are closing the office tomorrow and celebrating our independence from something or other (something about a tea party in there too). What do we have for you? How about two tracks from the Red Hot Chili Peppers? That not good enough for you? How about two songs by the one band most people seem to be able to agree upon, Rush? What if I told you they were both masters? Yes, one of the songs is "Working Man" which we have put out as a DLC cover a few months back. This version, however, is an alternate-take master from the same session they recorded the hit. It has never been released. Some days it is really amazing to have this job. Seriously.
Release Date
Tuesday, July 8th (Xbox 360 Marketplace)
Thursday, July 10th (Playstation Store)
TRACKS
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow (Hey Oh)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Tell Me Baby
Rush - Closer to the Heart
Rush - Working Man (alternate-take master)
All tracks are masters
PRICE:
All tracks are $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points).

I just picture them going
"HOLY SHIT! We finally got Rush masters at our disposal!"
"FUCK YEAH! Re-upload fucking Working Man!"
"I GET UP AT SEVEN YEAH! AND I GO TO WORK AT NIIINE"

I have no qualms with Working Man being tossed up there. I assume that they now have the master tracks for the entire "A Farewell to Kings" album and if that's the case I would love to play all 11 minutes of Xanadu. It's not a great song, but it's at least another Rush master track. In a perfect world they would release Red Barchetta, Spirit of Radio and Subdivisions.
Edit: I have exactly 220 points after buying SoulCalibur yesterday so I'm all set.

There was a blurb in a recent Game Informer magazine that Moving Pictures was planned as their next album release, which seems totally unlikely, since we already have two tracks, and that leaves 5 and one of them is a instrumental track.

Two separate sites, in GS and IGN have stated that you are going to be able to download your RB1 on disc tracks into RB2. IGN redacted the statement later, but at the same time they did, GS posted that hands on and said pretty much the same exact thing they said. Obviously, there has to be some credence to this "rumor."

Technically, it's an electronic drumset that you can also use as a Rock Band drum set.

How exactly is it a colossal fuck over? It's a functional electronic drum kit and a decently priced one at that. It's not like you have to have it to play Rock Band 2.
I knew it was going to be this expensive, but I'm still a bit disappointed. I'm almost consumer whorish enough to buy it.

I'm a massive consumer whore, I'll buy the most ridiculous things if they are crossbranded with something I adore, but that.....that's pushed my limit. I MIGHT buy the NEW RB2 drumset, with the metal reinforced pedal, the new quiet and velocity sensitive pads and the cymbal expansion ports though.
