It's actually just a terribly machined piece of ceramic like material.

They need more illegals to up the production quality.

Considering they use the same machine they use to machine fucking motorcycle parts, I just assumed they'd look better...
....I'm still gonna ask for one for Christmas....

I finally got the damn gold stars on drums in Rock Band 2. I played a 26 song set, all the Warmup songs I have, on expert drums and it was the most fun I've had with the game in a long time. I'm going to try to go through the next set of songs on expert also.

Have you seen the drums on Polly from this week? It's actually not possible to gold star that song. You can't even get more than 3 stars on expert drums, and that's with 100%

That's absolutely ridiculous. I always felt the stars should be percentage based and not score based. I hate how I can get 97-98% and it's only considered 4 stars. It doesn't really bug me that much anymore though since I can only see my scores and not my star rating in Quickplay.

Polly is only worth like, 200 points or something like that on Expert drums, there's only like 3 notes in the entire song.

There's a couple of tracks they did that I like, but I'll never own a Nirvana CD nor say that I actually like them.

It's funny how legitimate of a platform Rock Band has become as a music dealer. If this all pull through, having the first company to digitally distribute Beatles music being a god damn video game is nuts.

I'm STILL waiting for the remasters. They're supposed to be putting out digipaks with the remastered original albums along with b-side stuff I think. The CDs are fucking awful, sound quality wise, I could've done better mastering with Audacity.

It sounds like the ball is rolling with the Beatles stuff now.
Also, I doubt the Beatles stuff will be DLC to be honest. I bet it'll be an AC/DC like track pack that you have to purchase in store and can play alone or export into your RB2 game.

I've wanted a Beatles themed game for YEARS. A music game these days is the obvious choice but it would've been cute to have a 2D sidescroller back in the day based on the 60s Saturday morning cartoon: www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1XZd6HEHNw

I would rather it be an expansion. Oh well.
As far as GHWT, i wasn't going to buy it, but I was given it as a gift, and it pretty much kinda sucks.

Yeah, I'm really not liking it myself. It's a real mess. And my custom character looks more like Hugh Laurie than anything resembling me or anyone else really. I just feel like I'm playing a crappy knock off of Rock Band, since it just feels like a lot more songs are shared than their really is. At least it's got Stranglehold, which makes me happy.

The only thing I've enjoyed about Guitar Hero were the Tool tracks and even when I played those I kept thinking 'These would be so much better on Rock Band'.

I just came in here to quote this as truth. *scurries off into the night* I don't mind Nirvana. Their cover of The Man Who Sold the World gets regular plays on my mp3 player, but like JJ said I won't go out and buy any of their CDs, mainly because I don't want to give Courtney Love coke money. I have their complete discography downloaded for some reason though.

The likeness of Pete Best better be well represented in this game.

I just played a custom song of Beethoven's Fur Elise on GH4, and it was...different.
I'm diggin' it so far though (playing with RB1 guitar). I decided to skip RB2 and just take advantage of the DLC and rent/get GH4 later. I am thoroughly pissed off that I have to buy the entire $18 Death Magnetic album if I want to play any of the songs, however. I just wanted to spend like $8 to get 3 standout tracks.

Hey, Ben, I know you were having drum problems, have you tried Activisions Drum Tuner, it's supposed to cure the inconsistency issue.

The lady friend basically told me she is getting me Rock Band 2 for the Wii when it hits for Christmas so we can play it together...should be fun times seeing as everything I'm hearing is that it will be just as good as the 360 and PS3 versions.

It supports DLC, which is probably the biggest detractor from the first game anyways.
