Mario Kart really never had much depth anyway, if you think about it. Double Dash was already a slap in the face, so if Mario Kart Wii is a disappointment, it won't really be a huge surprise or anything.

I just don't want dumbed down controls. I want the hop, I want a large selection of weapons, and I want giant tracks of various difficulties featuring bizarre pitfalls. I hope they include all of the weapons that are in DS. I love getting the Bullet Bill power up

I don't have any problems with the steering wheel, though really, is it necessary? I mean, are "non gamers" really too stupid to use a regular controller? Doesn't sound like Nintendo's problem to me. If you can't wrap your mind around a standard controller, you have problems.

I was really hoping for controls to use the nunchuck. Control your cart with the joystick, and you can use the remote to aim and fire weapons....that'd been sweet.

By the way, I don't like typing nunchuck, since Firefox hates it, and the real spelling is nunchaku.

I would be perfectly happy with the classic controller. Mario Kart is really something you shouldn't mess with. Wanna make an accessible-for-crack babies and grannies racing game that uses the motion sensor for steering? Then pull a new franchise out of your jap asses and leave Mario Kart the fuck alone.

They did the same goddamn thing with Super Mario Sunshine. "Hey we'll give Mario a gay water gun to change things up!" Well, I'm all for new gameplay mechanics, but it didn't feel like Mario. At all. Same with Wind Waker. I was fine with the cel-shading, but the character design was hideous. Something a little closer to the NES manuals would've made all the difference in the world to me. Don't get me started on Double Dash, Luigi's Mansion, and those goddamn Donkey Kong bongos. We're being molested with gimmicks.

I LOVED the Wind Waker artstyle and thought the model was adorable

But it just screams Powerpuff Girls to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's just not Zelda. This is Zelda to me.

NES instruction manual Link would've been better though, admit it.

Meh. I don't like the design as much as I like the Wind Waker or more modern designs. He doesn't look childish enough for me. WW Link looks way more innocent than Instruction Manual Link

I love the box art. I want to give that little star a hug and put it in my pocket.

Why does Mario's farting leave a trail of stardust?

That's one of the best boxarts I have ever seen. Catches your attention, is clear what the game is about, isn't too busy, and it's frickin' Mario!

Con is right, that little star thing is fucking adorable. Super Mario Galaxy just keeps looking better and better. In a year all about Bioshock and Halo 3, I think Mario Galaxy is going to be the best game, even if it doesn't bring home the award, it will be an unwritten truth.

To me it looks like one of Dr. Mario's pills. That cover is 2,048,387 times better than the old one:

How awesome would that be? And have the villains be the germs from Dr. Mario on that particular planet? Man, that'd be sweet.

I swear to god, there had better be a Giant Planet. Since Mario 3, I'm disappointed when 10 foot tall Goomba's don't appear

I swear to god, there had better be a Giant Planet. Since Mario 3, I'm disappointed when 10 foot tall Goomba's don't appear The giant levels are like half the reason Super Mario Bros. 3 is one of my all-time favorite games! I've been eagerly awaiting a series of giant themed levels since then. New Super Mario Bros. was close with the giant Mario power-up, but there's nothing like smashing a giant goomba.

I giggled like a school girl with the Giant land in Super Mario 64. Koopa the Quick is still my mortal enemy.
