Apparently, the lineup for the first wave of this line has leaked.
From moviemaniacs.net
They could possibly be reissues of the original line, which I guess I wouldn't mind, but I'd prefer new sculpts and stuff.
So, yeah, I totally can't wait for these, and I'll likely buy two of each of whatever they release.

I never did get any of the original figures from the 80s, so after thinking about it, I wouldn't mind reissues at all. Hopefully they'll rerelease the dolls as well. I never did get a Chairry.

I do hope we get newer figures eventually. The original figures were nice and all, but I'd like something a little more realistic. Maybe they'll rerelease the original playhouse playset?

I'm gonna get so much puss thanks to all those Pee-wee's Playhouse action figures wallpapering my living room. I'm going to buy them all twice and set them up on my coffee table to reenact scenes from the Ants in your Pants episode.

You might want to wait about buying the Playhouse sets, since I have a pretty good feeling they're going to be releasing a special edition boxset sometime this year with all 46 episodes, plus loads of bonus features such as documentaries and commentaries. I hope there are commentaries from the puppeteers. Those guys are fucking awesome. Commentaries from Reubens are always just creepy for some reason.

Reubens was godly in 'Blow'. God, I love that movie. What is the show like? Any shows similar to it? I always thought Blues Clues was similar to it.

I would buy the Pee-wee's Playhouse DVD sets if only for the nostalgia, or if you had kids of your own. You may not get anything from it, since it was a bit before your time. The first season or two hold up pretty well, but the show did get sort of preachy towards the end.
But the HBO special and the movies were pretty much written with an adult audience in mind. The kids show was based off the HBO special that was a parody of 1950s kids shows.

There is quite a bit of adult humor in Pee-wee's Playhouse which is intended to go over kids heads. It's kinda funny to catch that stuff now since when I was little, it all seemed so random and "WTF".

Sounds interesting.
I was a Barney/Muppets/Sesame Street kid growing up.
I loved the Muppets. AND Fraggle Rock.

Pretty much all I watched, was Muppet Babies, Pee-wee's Playhouse, TMNT, and Kissyfur, which was the most depressing animated series in the history of childrens' television.

Muppet Babies needs a DVD release now, dammit. I'm convinced Skeeter was just Scooter being confused with his sexuality. Those preschool years can be rough. Why wasn't "she" in the Muppet Show? HUH?

I have some VHS's around somewhere in the garage. Too lazy to look though.
BTW, have you seen The Muppets figures, Palisades released? They had about 9 series with many delectable boxes including Swedish Chef's kitchen, Animal's band, and Beeper' lab.
Those figures were TOP FUCKING NOTCH. Every accessory from the show was there. It's sucks so bad, Palisades went under.

Yeah, I remember seeing those in Toyfare but no stores here sold them.
I have a few episodes of Muppet Babies on VHS that I just recently converted to DVD, if only to archive those totally radical 80s toy commercials.
