Cautiously optimistic are two words that sprang to mind when Punch Out was announced.

There's also brief footage of a new Mario & Luigi game on DS, Warioware 2009, a new Endless Ocean game, and a bunch of other cool stuff.
I'm probably getting that new DS since all I have is the original model. Might as well for only $180.

The video shows some cool stuff. Harvest Moon, Taito Drum whatever, a fucking Klona remake of all fucking things, and of course, actual in game footage of Little Mac punching the shit out of Glass Joe and a lot of other interesting looking stuff like that astronaut thingamagig. IT was a nice showing.
...still doesn't make up for E3....

OK, I read the article.
Well, at least this is better than anything they announced at E3. I expect the DSi to become a house of piracy much like the PSP. Color me surprised Nintendo integrated a memory card system.
The 0.3 megapixel camera is laughably poor. However, they probably don't intend it to be used for more than its gimmick (games with camera functions).
Oh Nintendo and their love of new models. I'm waiting for the Nintendo DS Pocket Micro Crystal.

And I have zero problem in admitting that. Fuck, I bought the MGS4 Bluetooth headset, regardless of it's piss poor quality.

It's kind of cool their re-releasing old Gamecube games again as Wii games, but unless they re-release the "hidden treasures" there's no point. Right now Pikmin Chibi Robo, Pikmin 2, Mario Tennis GC, Metroid Prime, and Metroid Prime 2 Dark Echoes and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is on the docket. They are also supposed to have Wii controls. Metroid Prime has been rumored for a while that Retro was going to "remake" them with Wii controls, maybe this was born of that. If only they actually work half as decently as the actual MP3 controls.

The GameCube had a lot of gems, lots of people will finally play some of those games. It's bad for hardcore Nintendo fans like me in the end though. Hopefully the Wii controls will make it a whole new experience. Though I would rather they focus on sequels or new franchises.

I'm sort of shocked that not only are they making Sin and Punishment 2, that it's ACTUALLY going to be released stateside. It's going to sell like ass, but at least I'll be able to get it.

It's probably going to work like the new Guitar Hero. In the new GH, you HAVE to have the space available on the system, then you can transfer it and play it off of the card.

It sounds like they are just enabling you to finally play off of the card. They make it sound like they expanding are options, instead they're just giving us the ability to play the shit we already have on SD cards anyways.

It's sounds to me like they're making it easier to copy games to the SD card? I would totally be fine with playing off the SD card but the way they're wording stuff is worrying me.

I just think it's one of those "lost in the text translation" kind of things. They've obviously gotten a little more comfortable with idea of SD and stuff. I mean, the DS has an SD slot that allows you to actually listen to music, a built in porn channel and a camera. It's now the number 1 handheld of perverts world wide.
They also announced the first batch of DSi App Store games, Brain Age 1 and 2.
