Toy Story on the SNES makes me wanna throw the TV through a window. I bought that game for my niece a couple of years ago, she makes me play it with her everytime I visit.

By the way, I just want to say, I support the PSP in theory. I have one, and it SHOULD be totally awesome. But I have probably 20 quality DS games and about 4 PSP games that I could consider quality. I'm not a huge GTA fan, but those two are good for what they are. The only PSP game to ever rock my socks Hot Shots Golf. But that's because I'm a sucker for the series.

Ridge Racer is like every Ridge Racer ever, great for a week. Same with Wipout. GT Mobile would be amazing if they would get off their asses and actually produce it. Nintendo has the advantage to where they have NUMEROUS exclusive rights and they aren't limited to just push button adventures. Lumines, Hot Shots, GTA, Loco Roco, and Syphon Filter are the only ones that deserve the title of being true quality. Daxter would be better if it weren't so fucking lame.

Daxter's a decent platformer.

With GTA LCS and VCS you are pretty much selling us GTAIII or Vice City again with a different storyline. The levels are all familiar, probably because minus a couple of tweaks, it's the same map I played in 2003.

It's the same fucking game I played three years ago. 2003? Well too bad there was no GTA 3 years ago. Unless, you got it for XBOX. But, if you were referring to Vice City, which came out in 2002, it's MUCH different.

2003? Well too bad there was no GTA 3 years ago. Unless, you got it for XBOX. What in the hell are you talking about? And the only thing that sets Vice City apart from III is Hawaiian shirts and motorcycles. It's the same fucking game.

I'm gonna play devils advocate: What marks the difference between Super Mario Bros. and SMB3? Different World, graphics, and powerups.

I'm still playing the original Super Mario Bros. games after nearly twenty years. Will the same be said about GTA?

To the people who got introduced to gaming this generation? Yeah, probably. It's a different beast now than it was 15-20 years ago. What used to be a close knit community of gamers on opposing sides of specific consoles, now we are segregated between three platforms, and it can be broken down even deeper now between genre and even specific games.

I'm just going to point out that I believe Mario is more timeless than GTA will EVER be, same with Halo. Those two games dictate what's popular now. GTA focuses on what what's hip today, even the flashback ones sort of focus on what we today perceive as then. And Halo is just the right game at the right time. Mario is based on fantasy. Much like how a Disney movie, 40, 50, 60 years later is still better than most movies put out today.

Good luck finding a working PS2 in 20 years. Nintendo is as guilty as anybody at recycling games. They've just about worn Mario out. I was really hoping for some new franchises to launch with the Wii. There were rumors not too long ago that Nintendo was going to get a new mascot. While that would feel kinda weird to us oldbies, it's something that needs to happen. We need this decade's Pokeymans. I'm not a fan of the series, but Pokeymans brought in a new generation, just as Nintendo lured us in with Mario and Zelda. I feel Nintendo has something up their sleeve. They just have to. This thread kinda wandered off. I love discussing this type of thing though.

Nintendo stuff is always going to be timeless. Halo and GTA are going to hold up as well as Asteroids and Centipede, whether you consider that good or bad.

I like Centipede. It's fun to play in short bursts. It's on the Retro Atari DS collection, which I recommend everyone go buy right now.
