Just cuz I'm too cool to own an iPod. Wait Zunes don't red ring and catch fire do they? DO THEY?!

Zunes let you share music for 3 days with another Zune owner and then it's deleted!

The only downside to an iPod is that iTunes is Satan. Other than that, it's fine.

Welp I've been in possession of an 80 gig Zune since 1:00 today. I still haven't listened to a single song on it. The software fucking SUCKS. Oh my god what a fucking nightmare. I think I'm taking this piece of shit back to Wal-Mart. It's a cool little gadget, but does anyone know if there's ANY possible way to drag and drop stuff onto it? Syncing every fucking file on my computer is a fucking NIGHTMARE.

I love my iPod because the software is just iTunes. I have everything separated by album and when you plug it in, iTunes detects it and adds and removes whatever files you want added or removed It's actually much faster than I thought it would be compared to my moms MP3 player which is drag and drop. I know there are ways to use drag and drop, but you have to download other 3rd part software and I don't know what software.

I know it's hip not to like the iPod and go against the machine, but there is a reason that the iPod has stayed at the top like it has. It's really an easy to use, good looking, small unit. Just because it relies on a specific form of software doesn't make it less user friendly.

When I started syncing shit to the Zune, I started getting the wrong album covers for everything, and "unknown artist/album" labels despite my tag editors being filled out pretty nicely, and it was so goddamn slow. It crashed my computer five consecutive times, and it literally took me an hour and a half to install the software, and another 30 minutes to actually get it to run. Glitchy piece of fuck.

Yikes.
If you don't have USB 2.0 on your PC, updating an MP3 player could take a while. On my old PC, it took several minutes to update the player, now it takes literally seconds with my new one.

The hardware is great, but the software is so bad, it makes iTunes look like the second coming. I am actually fine with iTunes, and I recently sold my Zune and bought a new iPod.

I might as well download iTunes and get used to it now. I've just been using Windows Media Player for so long, it'll be hard for me to switch.

I've had durability problems with every digital audio device I have owned except my iPod... I've had it for about 2 years without a single problem.

The only reason I bought a new iPod was because I wanted more storage, I gave my dad my old one and it's still chugging along perfectly. They really are bullet proof little fuckers.

Yeah, I bough my iPod when they first came out, and it was really last year when the battery life on it died. They are great.

Alex, you can get a Shuffle for like 90 bucks now. Granted it won't hold a hell of a lot, but it'll get you started.

I didn't have USB 2.0 until this past year Welcome to the millennium, J.J. Watch out for Battlefield Earth. For all the past crap I... crapped... onto the iPod, it's not "teh debil" and a solid MP3 player. A replaceable battery would be nice, though. All consumer electronics should have replaceable batteries. Just an opinion of mine. Hell, even those cheap, shitty Casio watches allow batteries to be replaced.

Yeah that's something else that pissed me off about the Zune, just like the iPod, you can't change the battery. That's fucking stupid.
