I didn't want to muddy my message with pointless text.

This is a phenomenal and simple traditional platformer. It's not going to win any awards, but it's looks great with it's hand drawn art style and anime cutscenes. The motion controls aren't intrusive and make sense in terms of gameplay. You grab and enemy in game, and then you shake the shit out of it/them to get the treasure inside. It's a PHENOMENAL game for someone like me or Alex. About the biggest gripe I have with the game is the fact that it's 4:3, they fake widescreen by putting boarders with treasure information on the sides.

Is it out already?

Yeah, in typical Nintendo fashion, they advertised exactly zero, so no one knows it's out. It's the Metroid Prime Syndrome.

I hope we get more games like this, the art style is perfect for a modern day console platformer. All 2D games should have that hand drawn look. Nintendo does these kinds of games great when they do them.

It seems like anything that could appeal to the core gamer doesn't get much advertising from Nintendo. Jeremy Parish (Retronauts) buried it, though.

Parish's 1Up review makes him look like an idiot. Just like his Yoshi's Island DS review.

Methinks there's a reason why he's stuck on Retronauts island.
