A SD card slot on a portable device is a nightmare for Nintendo. Look at how people have totally broken the PSP using Memory Sticks.

There is an SD slot on the Wii though. ALBEIT TOTALLY FUCKING USELESS. But it is there.

Every time they update the system, they have to fill in another "security" hole the console has because of the slot. Plus, nothing uses it except games that don't have online play and ExciteBike. Guitar Hero World Tour at least will use it for DLC.

Because they didn't think anyone was actually going to want to buy a system that's half the power of a PS3 and 360 and uses a gimmick. Nintendo has image issues. They throw up in the bathroom.
