Also, I'm tempted to not bother using my coins......just in case they bring that Super Nintendo Classic Controller stateside.

So I just registered Animal Crossing: City Folk and I appear to have received no coins for it. Is there some sort of delay?

Not that I'm aware of. It was instantaneous for me.

I transferred over a bunch of my old games from My Nintendo, and it gave me zero coins for them last night.

Club Nintendo hates me, I've registered about 10 times now and I still am not able to log in.

Meh is it really worth the hassle? I registered a bunch of shit to get that Zelda compilation about five years ago but it was more trouble than it was worth.

I had a bunch of stuff pre-registered from a while ago, and all they did was ask me to take some surveys. It took me about an hour to get everything up to where I'm at now, at 700 points. I really want that Game and Watch set...but like I said, I may hold off in hopes that the SNES/Super Famicom Classic Controller comes.

I wouldn't count on it, NOA will probably abandon this in a couple months like everything else.

They've been pretty good at giving freebies away throughout lately though. A lot of unknown stuff that people didn't know about. I've gotten free keychains, and styluses....styli......whatever, coming out the ass. Plus, everything going out now is exactly the same stuff they've been giving out in Japan, there isn't a single US exclusive item.

I'm stuck at 570. Registered my Wii earlier and nothing has carried over yet (it said channels count for 10 coins so I'm relying on those). I'm a total bastard, I got my friend Mario Party DS for Christmas and I opened it up to get the registration code - ain't like she'll use it - and to my surprise it won't let you register two of the same game even though they have different codes.
Also, why the fuck doesn't Metroid Prime Hunters work with this? It registered but I didn't receive any coins. Is that not a Nintendo game now? I would be platinum if the thing worked. Same deal for a few other games. And the Gamecube games I tried didn't work either.
This is a good service and I feel like the prizes are cool enough to strive to get but there's some bugs they gotta work out, and more compatibility with older games and even current games that don't seem to work.
When I reach 600 I'm getting the classic Mario NDS card holder with styluses. I lost all my styluses and use a friggin' sandwich bag to carry my DS games. Seems appropriate to get this.
They should put the Mario Galaxy single disc soundtrack on there for us, too. I've had the full thing downloaded for a year but I like collecting physical music albums.
It's going to be hard to gather enough coins each year to get platinum status. I have like 20 something DS games and only half of them are from Nintendo, and like 2 didn't work right. That's only 30 coins each - 300 averaging. Wii games give you 50 (and the glorious Wii Fit - 80) but again it's only the Nintendo titles that work. I don't mind that items are a bit more expensive than in Japan and Europe since the U.S. is fairly large and has been the reason they never offered this service to us before, I just wish we had more opportunities to register coins. If they come out with something like that original Gameboy Donkey Kong game revamped for the DS exclusive to Club Nintendo and I just blew my years load on Super Mario Anal Beads, I'll be pretty ticked off.

I'm at platinum status already, I have 700 points. All it'll take is 2 Wii games and I'll be at 800. I'm tempted to get the Game and Watch game, but the Jap version is easy to come by here and this might actually drop the price of it now, so I'll be able to just buy a cheap version and save my points for a Super Mario Bros. 3 play shaving kit.

I just thought of something else: since you have so many coins already, and since the status of gold/platinum resets in June, maybe it'd be better off to hold out on registering until the end of June so you could get platinum for 2010 right away. I think that's what I'm going to do after I get Animal Crossing. EDIT: Intend To Buy isn't working for me.

Yeah, I don't think intend to buy is working for anyone. I had a ton of stuff pre-registered and it just asked me to take a survey for the stuff I already had registered. I got a feather stylus for registering Phantom Hourglass and a big rainbow box of styluses (styli?) for registering Brain Age 2. I typically buy a shit ton of games every year, so it won't be all that difficult to get back up to platinum. Plus there's still the DSi next year too....

I'd register my DSPhat if all the information didn't rub off the back. I remember that stylus from PH you mentioned before. That's really cool that they gave away 'secret' gifts like that.
I got my friend to go in her little sisters room and steal me a Nintendogs code that got me at 600 platinum. I had a choice between that, Mario Party (already got), and Hannah Montana...
Ordered the Mario stylus/case set!

If I didn't already have a Legend of Zelda wallet for my DS, I'd probably order the Mario one too

Well, I realized I had to do the surveys to get the coins. Sadly, a TON of previously registered items didn't transfer over. I lot of them I don't have anymore. Oh well. I have 280 coins without registering any of my wii stuff yet.

I swear I am the only person on the face of the earth who can't sign up and then log in. I've registered on the site about 20 more times but every time I go to sign in it says I should register again and again and again.

Finally got it to work, weird thing now is some games that I've tried to register aren't giving me points but just bring me to a screen of things that I have registered before.
