Rock Band Beatles has a release date.
09/09/09.
Maybe it'll be a Dreamcast 2 launch game.
Oh, and the premium bundle costs 250 bucks this time around, with instruments modeled after Beatles instruments.

I thought they said it wasn't going to be a Rock Band game. Not that I'm complaining at all.

They probably realized that the Rock Band brand is a popular brand name but not as popular as Guitar Hero, and having people associate it with the Beatles will help move more units.

'twill be mine, although I'm curious to see the tracklisting, not a lot of their songs were all-instrument-intensive.

According to George Harrison's kid, it's going to even feature unreleased stuff.

According to George Harrison's kid, it's going to even feature unreleased stuff. Fuck, they're gonna bastardize George's music like they did John's.

'twill be mine, although I'm curious to see the tracklisting, not a lot of their songs were all-instrument-intensive. I'm admittedly not a big beatles guy... for my money, all my favorite beatles songs were piano driven... Except for While my Guitar... and Hide Your Love

It's been confirmed that to coincide with the release of the game, they're going to be putting out the newly remastered versions of the albums on CD

With all the time spent playing this game, I would recommend you kids just pick up a real guitar and learn the songs

Honestly, you're right... beatles songs are very simple on Guitar.

I agree. These guitar games are too expensive. For that kind of cash you'd really be better off buying the real thing as opposed to glorified karaoke machines.

Something is kinda bothering me about this game. Now all these kids will be coming out of the woodwork like, "yeah the Beatles are fucking awesome", where otherwise these same people would dismiss them as "old" or "overrated" or what have you. I swear to god I'm punching the first kid I see in Gamestop with an Abbey Road t-shirt square in the face.

I hate the beatles, and this game isn't going to change that. give me rock band iron maiden or rock band journey over rock band beatles any day.

I wonder if one of the achievements is get bored of the same drum notation untill you have to turn the game off.

To be honest, I'd much rather see a Yellow Submarine game over a Rock Band cash-in.

Aww, that's not fair. This isn't really a cash in like they're just shoving John, Paul, George, and Ringo into Rock Band 2 like Activision/Neversoft did with Metallica or Aerosmith and will do with Van Halen. It's actually a fairly impressive game, and the opening cinematic is surreally awesome.

The art direction is fantastic... but this is a result of Paul, Ringo and the widows jumping on the bandwagon for some extra cash. It does make sense though, the Beatles are one of, if not the most popular band in the world and I'm sure it will be a quality production.

I am sure it will be good, I just don't see myself ever wanting to play more than a couple of Beatles songs at a time.

Within Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows is an amazing mashup. I recommend the Love album to everyone here. Even if you are souless and hate the Beatles, it is a phenomenal piece of work from a production standpoint.

Yay, Rubber Soul is out. That's probably my favorite album next to Revolver.
I wonder when they get around to the White Album... how the fuck are they going to do Revolution 9? I mean... just how?
