I don't think they have any intention on doing a complete discography at this point. I'm certain they'll start picking and choosing after a certain point.

But it's the fucking White Album. I understand not doing like, Beatles For Sale or Let It Be. Besides, they only had like 12 studio albums anyway. Essentials:
A Hard Day's Night Help! Revolver Magical Mystery Tour The White Album
Past Masters is crucial too, but I could see them picking out the best songs and only the best songs.

I hope we eventually get some solo stuff on Rock Band too. Would LOVE a Lennon track pack with How Do You Sleep, #9 Dream, Mind Games, Jealous Guy, Mother, Working Class Hero, God, Watching the Wheels, I'm Stepping Out, Woman, etc. and so on.

They've pretty much stated a few times that this game won't have that kind of stuff in it. It'd be more likely for Rock Band DLC. Band on the Run is in Guitar Hero, so it wouldn't be insane to see other stuff in other games.

Yeah I meant solo Beatles on regular Rock Band, I don't expect that on Beatles Rock Band as they weren't Beatles during their solo careers.
Band on the Run sucks. I can't believe people haven't wised up to this ruse yet. THE MAN IS DEAD. Stop soiling the good name of Paul McCartney, Faul. Let him be.

I'm waiting for Rubber Soul to finish downloading so I can play it. I hope to the good lord that Revolver comes at some point. They haven't announced any DLC past Rubber Soul yet.

I saw an interview with Giles Martin about Beatles Rock Band and I'm 99% sure he said something about Revolver. They'd better do Revolver, I can comfortably say it's my favorite album of all time.

Well, Rock Band is getting a McCartney Live 3 on the 5th. Band on the Run, Jet, and Sing The Changes. Hopefully this is a sign of other Beatles singles coming.

As much as I try to pick this game apart, its inconsistencies, it's a Rock Band clone, etc., it takes me back to when I was a kid getting into the Beatles, seeing A Hard Day's Night for the first time, Yellow Submarine, and the shitty ABC cartoon which will always hold a special place in my heart. The opening cutscene is just fucking great and it's nice experiencing these songs in a fresh way.

As far as the last year, the game is just a visual delight. Even the DLC has some awesome visuals. Fucking A Day In The Life is epic.

My main gripe is that there aren't enough songs, on disc or dlc. I'm surprised there's no Let it Be, Hey Jude, Strawberry Fields Forever and Help! which are some of their biggest hits. I'm glad lesser known songs like And Your Bird Can Sing are given the spotlight though. We need more Revolver.

There are various reasons for the game not having a large number of songs from the get-go. I'm pretty sure it'll wind up being on of the most expensive games released in 2009.

I just bought Pepper a little while ago. It still bores me. Lovely Rita makes up for the crap though.

So... are they done putting out dlc? If so, that is a huge disappointment. I'd take my copy to GameStop if CG Paul wasn't so adorable.

Financially, the game didn't perform as highly as EA had hoped, and it apparently costs too much much to make, license and release new content for the game that it's just not worth it to them. I wouldn't be surprised if it's over with.

Regardless, EA can't see past the ends of their asses and aren't champing at the bit to give Harmonix more money for the game and just want them to focus on RB3 right now.

Shame on EA for flat out abandoning owners of the Beatles Rock Band. It's a tragedy that they didn't put up the Revolver album. It should have been picked over Sgt. Pepper. They could have at the very fucking least given us Hey Jude. But Revolver was their best album. It's glaringly obvious that 80% of Sgt. Pepper is garbage. Magical Mystery Tour is a better album than Sgt. Pepper... fuck, I'd rather listen to Two Virgins on repeat nonstop for eight days rather than hearing Sgt. Pepper ever again. Except for A Day in the Life. And Lucy. And Lovely Rita meter maid. Lovely Rita meter maid. Lovely Rita meter maid. Meter meter maid.

I named my cat after the lovely meter maid, STFU.
And the redheaded pinup.
And Jack White's guitar, which is also named after the redheaded pinup.

They took it as far as they could. They intended on doing more, but the sales numbers never really flowed in and the music side of the gaming industry is in dire straits and on the verge of collapse. And just costs so much money to author Beatles tracks. At least we got all of the Imagine album in RB3 and his Christmas song is hitting DLC tomorrow.

Well, Harmonix has officially been sold today. To themselves. They a fully independent again. Maybe. Just maybe we'll get lucky with some new Beatles DLC. Next week they are adding Some Paul McCartney, this week they added a Lennon song, and the before that we got the rest of Imagine. Maybe they are telling us something in code......
