FUCK. It's been a long time since I've heard this. Zeo probably had the best music in the entire series.
I was the gold ranger for Halloween in '96. I had the light-up staff and everything. I went trick or treating in the girls dorm at the local college. I could've had any piece of tail I wanted.

Good and bad news regarding the toyline. First the bad news. The figures are (apparently) only 4 inches compared to 5 like all the previous standard figures.
The good news? They ARE making a green ranger, Goldar, a Putty Patroller, AND goddamn Zordon and Alpha!

No pics yet. These were listed over at bbcwdistributors along with a ton of other stuff including the dino cycles and a deluxe dragon dagger. The rest of the line is being padded out with crap. Good news though is that the red and green rangers will come two in a case. I was afraid green would be shortpacked. Unfortunately blue black yellow and pink are only one per case. This worries me because I could never find the original pink one.
So disappointed with the 4" news, the 5" figures were small enough. I may not even bother with the whole line now, maybe just a green ranger just because and the Megazord and maybe a dragon dagger, as long as it plays the correct music.

I hope they re-release Titanus. Just because it's the most unintentionally hilarious name for a childrens toy ever.
Titanus.

Ugh. The new figures are confirmed to be 4" and they're gonna come with a "cool LED accessory" that wasn't even featured in the show. Typical Bandai.

My hopes are low for this line. Look back at Bandai's track record. I bet Goldar and the putty will be the ONLY villains we get. I wish they would license the property to another company.

I would die if NECA made the movie rangers with the armored suits.

I'd love some replica props. Having a real deal morpher would be SO amazing.

The morpher I had was pretty show accurate. All that was missing was the belt clip. I am so buying the dragon dagger. I never could find the original. I hope they re-release Saba too. That's about as far as I'll go with the role play items. UNLESS they re-release the "my size" dolls.

Sure, it looked fine, but it's still made out of plastic and had stickers on it.

The one on the show looked cheap too. I think they actually used the toy in some American footage.
God. That foam dragon shield was hideous.

I still have a dragon shield my grandma made me for a Halloween costume many moons ago.

I made the white ranger's shield out of a paper bag once.

I just traversed the nether regions of Hell (my closet) on an epic quest to find my Dragonzord. This would have been easier if I had a dragon dagger. But I found him. He was mutilated, but all the parts were there. That guy was a son of a bitch to put back together, but I did it. He's in good shape and his batteries still work! This fucker is getting a permanent spot on the mantle.

WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO TO MY POWER RANGERS?!

Remember back in the '90s, you'd go to the dollar store and they'd have a bunch of Power Rangers knockoffs? Yeah.

Yes, it's exactly like those Mexican knock-offs. SUPER CHANGING SPACE RANGERS!

Well, the standard six are pretty show accurate atleast, and the putties look good. But... WHAT DID THEY DO TO MEGAZORD?!
My hopes are slain in getting a Scorpina figure. Bandai's priorities are still with the kiddies. Mentally handicapped kiddies, because any mentally stable child wouldn't want any of those shit hunks of plastic.

Luckily, I'm into the small scale figures, and G.I. Joe sized action figures is right up my ally. Now I can have Snake Eyes, Green Ranger, and Stone Cold Steve Austin team up and defeat Cobra.

I don't mind the smaller size, but would it be too much trouble for them to PAINT the weapons? I mean really now. They got away with that shit in 1993 but for christ's sake, not in 2010.

Even the limited run of the Green, White, and Gold rangers they recently did didn't have colored weapons. I guess that's just not their thing.

The more I see of this line the more I wish they would just re-release the original deluxe rangers and evil space aliens.
Who the hell are they aiming this line at? At first it looked like a nostalgia thing for old fans but it's looking more and more like a pathetic last grab for cash.

It's obvious they're launching this re-hash to kids just knowing that they're going to get a cash grab from guys like us.

It all just looks so... generic. Why dig up the corpse of MMPR? Why not just go ahead and release the Shinkenger toys here, or even go back to the '70s and release random Sentai toys? They could even make up Americanized backstories if they want. This line could have been Bandai's Marvel Legends.

I wonder how much longer it will be until Disney ruins VR Troopers and Beetleborgs.
