I just know I'll end up being disappointed with them. My expectations were originally just a wee high for a Bandai line.
To tell you the truth I don't even know why the hell I want these things, the show was god awful. Pretty sure it's subliminal advertising.

It's because all we do anymore is grasp at the straws that is our childhood. We don't want to grow up, because we're Toys R Us kids.

Exactly. I spent way too much on the TMNT reissues last year, and you've seen my GI Joe shelf.

Found them. Wal-Mart had all six rangers, Alpha/Zordon, Goldar and the Putty. Disappointed. I got these in a Happy Meal 15 years ago. Oh well. They're neat, just for the fact it's season one Power Rangers. Alpha is my favorite of the bunch. Zordon... is going in a box just because he scares the ever loving shit out of me.

And don't get me wrong, these are well made figures. I've just been spoiled by Bandai's old stuff. Quality-wise these are miles better than the original auto-morphins. Just try to forget about the old figures and think about the G.I. Joe crossover you can do now.

I'm warming up to the smaller scale, it only makes the Dragonzord look more awesome. I hope the Megazord shows up soon, this stuff will make a neat little display. I'm probably gonna build an army of Putties.

A crappy company (i.e. Jakks) should release a line for Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills to rival MMPR (aka make the Rangers look that much better).

Bandai may end up being that company, Power Rangers was cancelled and it was their only means of support. I really hope they don't think MMPR has the same nostalgic and lasting value of Star Wars and Transformers... because it doesn't. I just built my own command center out of boxes of Misty cigarettes, a frozen pizza cardboard liner and empty lint rollers.

Um... if anyone cares the "remastered" eps will begin airing tomorrow. Will be fun to see what they do to it, if anything.
Please tell me I'm not the only tool here who bought those new toys.

I haven't purchased any. After seeing them, I just don't care for them. I'll probably end up with the Megazord, just because it's 20 bucks.

I didn't like them at first either, but they look neat when you set them all together next to the Megazord.
The "remastered" episodes are supposed to be REALLY bad... they haven't aired here yet so I don't know for myself but from the sounds of it it's bad even for Power Rangers standards. I heard something about '60s Batman style POW BAM stuff going on.

I watched it... the edits weren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be, lots of improvements actually, but the Adam West stuff has gotta go, this show didn't need to be put into cheese overdrive. But it was the best thing on Saturday morning network TV since Weird Al was canceled. Sigh... Trini was a doll.
