So to all one and a half of you that might care about this, they found the missing scenes of a 1927 silent film called Metropolis. If you don't already know about it, do some research, the story behind this is far more interesting than the film itself. But yeah. I was watching TCM the other night and they showed it in its entirety. Most people thought those missing scenes were forever lost. It's pretty amazing. Apparently it's coming out on Blu-ray. Oh. And it was the subject of a Queen video! www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhqPhEKqKYo

Germany aired it for free over the web a while ago, it was pretty great and it just FELT like a special event.

Seriously, if you don't know what "Radio Ga Ga" is, you don't belong on VA.

For a silent film, this really was light years ahead of its time. It's pretty mindblowing that they were doing this kind of stuff in the '20s.
