I just want to randomly post things about the DS. Buy Elite Beat Agents. It's worth every penny. The game damn near made me cry a couple days ago with one of it's "Christmas Episode"

My DS Lite still has a crack addiction. I'm curious to see how long the hinge is going to hold up. I can't believe I've had the little guy for five months already. Last summer was awesome

Got WiFi yet? The Wii comes out Sunday, how will you know what the weather is, download VC games, and leave dirty messages on my bulletin board?

I hope so. If I don't have internet the first week, it's no big deal. There's no online multiplayer right now, and I'm not downloading any virtual console games (unless I get a free download somehow).

You're Mii is going to be very lonely and introverted. He's going to be the one that fucks dogs and tortures insects.

Now that I've had the DS Lite for a few months, I kinda miss the DeLorean-ish sexiness of the original DS.

Finally bought New super mario bros today That game would have been awesome 10-11-12 years ago if it were called Super Mario World 2.

New Super Mario Bros. wouldn't even make a worthy sequel to Super Mario Land 2. I loved it while it lasted, but it was basically a remixed version of the original Super Mario Bros. For being so fucking "NEW" they should have thrown in more power-ups and levels. It was kind of disappointing.

And I fucking hate Bowser Jr. If he shows up in Super Mario Galaxy, I'm cracking skulls.

The game itself is more like a sequel to Super Mario 3 with less cool music and shitty powerups. Nintendo, if the Hammer Bros. and Tanooki suit don't make a comeback sometime soon, our relationship will be in jeopardy.

Sonic Rush is the best platformer on the system.

That's exactly what it was. It was a half-assed sequel to Super Mario Bros. 3. I hated the layout of the maps, no variety at all. Useless power-ups, bland levels, and no Koopalings. It could have been better.
I know I was sucking the game's balls six months ago, but it just doesn't hold up.

Sonic Rush is the best platformer on the system. I agree. Maybe best handheld platformer ever. Yeah, I may agree. But that's not saying much, the handheld platformer hasn't exactly been a lucrative business.

Yeah, why haven't there been a few stellar, original handheld platformers? It's all ports and licensed filth.

Now, granted, I enjoy the Super Mario Land/Wario Land series, but it can only last so long. And it's been, what? A decade since SML2?

The Castlevania, Sonic Advance, and Wario Land games were nice and everything, but why can't we get a new handheld sidescrolling franchise or something? The oldies are nice and everything, but there's only so much you can do with Mario and Sonic.

We get new 3D platformers that aren't all that bad often. Jax and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank caught people off guard, and there are plenty of other decent original ideas in the 3D world, is it so hard to try and adapt one into a handheld 2D world?

This is a reason I'd love to get into game design. I have some awesome ideas for games, it makes me all giddy when I think about it. I'd make like, a sidescroller with a robot as the main character, and everytime he gets hit, he loses a limb (like the Crash Dummies SNES game), and with each missing limb, the trippier the graphics get, and boss battles would be turn-based, and after beating the robot boss, you steal his parts, and in the next level your robot would get bigger and more powerful and shit. And I'd throw in inside jokes like Bubble Bath Babes references and maybe a Debbie Gibson-Wallet cameo.

Don't get me started on my music-based 2D fighter. The sequel uses a combination of a dancemat and a camera to catch your punches and dodges and shit.

Debbie Gibson-Wallet would make a great side scroller. I'm picturing Toy Story for the 16 systems....
