Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous in size. I was hoping to play it tonight, but I've got The Office and SNL in less than an hour and I have to try to get an animation done for tomorrow.

Yay for LBP coming out tomorrow apparently....
And I've been playing the Smackdown '09 Demo off of the PAL PSN store. It's fine. I'm not really a fan of the next-gen grapple system they've been using. I'm really not that big of a fan of the controls in general all that much.

I realize this is still in beta, but are the graphics supposed to be so... uninspired? I usually don't place emphasis on graphics, but here it's just very noticeable. The game's OK. I didn't play the first Resistance. I hear it takes the same amount of bullets to kill in the first game as it takes in this second game. I just think kills require too many bullets. It takes twice as long to kill in Resistance than it does in Bad Company--and Bad Company takes a while. As of now, my opinion on the series is: meh. ^this ^this Reason for Editing: :aiyee:

You have to create a separate profile and base it out of Europe. I just looked up a random address in the UK and used that. When you sign in using that account, it takes you to that regions store. Same can be done for Japan too.

Who is in the demo/what match types are available? I really don't have any interest in the game since they're making Legends of Wrestlemania, but I would give it a whirl.

It's just the standard match or tag. You can be HHH, HBK, or either of the Hardy's in the demo.

The Japan store is fucking epic. Their PSone selection alone almost makes me wish I understood a lick of Japanese.
I think the only thing you can't access from other regions are the video stores.

I enjoy the Smackdown demo, too. Still undecided on an actual purchase but at least it's fun to play after going cold turkey on WWE games for like a year and a half.

Dead Space is my "Sleeper Hit" of the year. The game itself might not be a sleeper, but it was an impulse buy for me that was never truly on my radar and I'm glad I bought it. It's AMAZING.
YAY! I LUV LBP! I can't wait for the servers to go live, since the story mode stuff is great, but those are better.

Yeah, I called them today and they got it in at around noon. I can't even claim my Kratos costume and level yet. I'm guessing since the official release date is now the 27th-28th, that's when all that stuff works.

I went to one Gamestop, the only one worth going to around here which is pretty much the only one that has movies and looked in the case where they have all the new games but they didn't have it.

From an e-mail I just received:
"As an update to the PLAYSTATION(R)3 News email sent on Friday, October 24th, the special invitation to PlayStation(R)Home's closed beta is available only to Qore annual subscribers who purchased subscriptions by 10/29. Qore Episode 06 purchasers will not be eligible for the special PlayStation(R)Home beta invitation at this time. We apologize for the miscommunication.
Participation in PlayStation(R)Home's closed beta is limited to those 18 years and older and requires agreement with the PlayStation(R)Home Beta Trial."
That's somewhat bothersome.

Zuma's controls are MESSED UP on PS3. You have to get it just right for it not to jitter all over the place. And it's not even HD like they're trying to push it - it's the standard screen size with a border and is only a port of the regular game. It's still fun once you learn how to get the controller down to the sweet spot. I'm a bigger fan of the Luxor 3 seen in those B-dubs touch screen systems, though.

I never really cared for Zuma on the 360 or PC. Peggle is where it's at.
