So, with this coming to Xbox Live Arcade, I thought now would be a good time to reminisce about it. From 1989 to 1995, the Ninja Turtles were my life. I went to the arcade every day after school, and on the weekends just to play the TMNT arcade game. I must've spent $200 over the years playing this. Hell, I might just buy an Xbox 360 just to play this in its original form again. This was also the first time, that I was actually really amazed by graphics in a video game. Don't get me wrong, I was in awe of the NES' graphical capabilities in 1989, but they were bland and ugly compared to this. I still remember thinking, "holy shit, this looks just like the cartoon". Dare I say, best arcade game of all time?

It might be the greatest arcade ever. Jesus, those were the days. When you could go into an arcade, and get blown away by awesome games. Now it's fucking Dance Dance, and a god damn NFL Blitz in the darkest corner of the room.

We don't have an arcade here anymore. The one in our mall, that had been here since at least the early '80s closed around December 2005. The last couple of years were so depressing, no one ever went. Me, and the guy that took your tickets were the only people in there a lot of times. It was like a ghost town or something, when 15 years ago, it was filled with people, and you could never play Battletoads or Robocop because some asshole was standing there all fucking day. I miss that.

We still have a couple around here. One in the mall that only Mexican gang members go too, a Nickel Arcade, and one inside a burger joint a block from my house, that still has the Simpsons game, and Wrestlefest.

They're both great games, but Turtles in Time might've been a little better.

Those pupil-less Turtles on the top and on the sides of the machine used to creep me out.

You really can't go wrong with the TMNT arcade game especially as far as Downloadable XBLA games go.

I probably spent more on this than any other arcade game. There used to be a local store that had it... I actually forget what the store was, but I just stood there with my brother for hours plopping quarters in...

I think on my 360 friends list I hold the high score record. Probably because I'm the only one who actually beat it.

Fun game. I also beat it, but when one befriends CAGs, you quickly realize how much you suck. Gah. At least I hold the top place for Metal Slug 3*.
*Surprisingly, I'm the only one on my friends with Metal Slug 3

It's the only game on my friends list that I top off. I even beat my own top score the other day
