I just bought the newest issue of Nintendo Power. I've decided now to get a subscription....unless they decide to fall off of the face of the earth too...

I've been getting Nintendo Power since 1989. I want to stop getting them, but I can't. I buy them off the goddamn newsstand, too. I know I'm blowing my money, but I cannot phsycially stop myself from getting them. Same with EGM. Nintendo Power has hit the shitter ever since they redesigned their magazine in 2001, and again last year.

Kind of depressing to hear, but I can't say I've been supporting gaming mags much lately. I didn't renew my PSM subscription that I had for around 8 years in 2006. PSM was the shit back during the PS1 and early PS2 days. I loved that magazine. Now, it just seems kind of useless, not to mention their seemingly constant redesigns irked me. They've always had outstanding MGS coverage, which I guess was what kept me glued to them...that and their price.

The redesigns are really what's about to wrap it up with me. Nintendo Power was perfect. After 2001, it wasn't 1992 perfect, but it was good. But their recent redesign makes it look like every other generic gaming magazine. I'm not impressed.

Maybe now we'll find out who Sushi-X was.

Ugh. I remember Gamepro's staff all having gimmicks. I even remember the poorly thought out idea to make action figures based on those characters.

I hated GamePro.

I liked Gamepro right after I first got my Genesis, which was 92. What the hell happened to Tips N' Tricks, and VGM?

Tips N' Tricks is still chugging along. I see it all the time I'm in the check out line at Best Buy.
