As much as I love the little guy, he served no purpose other than to get NES systems into toy stores. I loved the idea though, and I think they could've come up with some effective gameplay uses for it. And anybody remember this thing? I got it for Christmas not long after it originally came out. It was like the coolest thing ever at the time.

I remember seeing one of those in a magazine and getting all excited about it.

You know, just looking for that picture made me realize how much worthless shit they released for the Genesis. I never knew anyone that had that, or if they did, they weren't fessing up. But yeah Alex, I damn near bought a fucking Interactor.

The Sonic & Knuckles lock-on cartridge seemed so awesome back in 1995. Like, "Holy fuck, you mean I can PLUG IN SONIC 2 AND PLAY AS KNUCKLES?!"
I remember plugging in NBA Jam expecting to see Knuckles razzle dazzle that court with Scottie Pippen.

Yes, Sega were the masters of the gimmicky one shots.
OMG, if I put my Streets of Rage cartridge in the top, I can collect blue spheres for eternity!

And we wonder why Sega is making games for Nintendo systems nowadays.

But if you think about it, the Power Pad was pretty useless too. Only 6 games supported it, and 5 of them were hard to track down. Although I have seen Street Cop recently.

My cousin had that, it was awesome. Whenever we would have a sleepover with some of our cousins and it was time for me to get to choose a game to play, they would all get mad at me for picking a Rollercoaster Tycoon-ish game that took a long time to play. Good times.
