Robert Plants a fucking dick though. It's an act of congress and God to be able to use a Zep song in a movie, I can just picture licensing an entire game that he's been fairly vocal about thinking is stupid. Apple is just pains in the ass, they aren't unreasonable, just fucking impossible to work a deal with, which Harmonix was somehow able to swing.

Apparently they don't want to hand over the master tapes to anybody outside of the band and producers. I'm sure Apple saw it as a ingenious way of finally getting those master tapes remastered and try to sweep the country back into a Beatles frenzy by finally releasing the CDs everyone has always been wanting.

It was rumored that there was gonna be a Beatles Singstar to be a companion piece with Rock Band. Turns out that it was actually a rumor about a microphone only bundle of Rock Band.

I didn't buy these, but I got them for my birthday...
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection: An orgasm of nostalgia. Emulation seems to be pretty good, though I was a little bummed at the lack of Sonic 3 & Knuckles...
X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Uncaged Edition: Rented this game a few months back. Liked it. Wanted it. Got it.

Band Hero DS (which I wasn't aware of until the day before yesterday, so I ran to my local GOOD Walmart to get it) and LEGO Rock Band DS (which I was completely oblivious to). Band Hero is difficult for me, plus it doesn't contain No Doubt as playable characters like the console versions. LEGO Rock Band, on the other hand, has Queen, David Bowie (different-colored pupils!), and Iggy Pop, meaning I'll be keeping it popped into my DS for a looong time.
Something odd I felt noteworthy...both games have "Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall and "So What?" by Pink. On Band Hero, "hell" is censored from Tunstall's song and "tool" is left alone in Pink's, but it's the opposite for LRB.

There was a post on Kotaku about the songs in Band Hero have been ripped apart for censoring purposes.
No Doubt is fucking PISSED at being playable characters in band hero for songs other than their own.

You should remedy that and track down a copy. The original versions of the game came with a bonus movie that taught you how to play, and not in a crappy "Here's a free VHS with Bret Hart teaching you play WM The Arcade Game" kind of way, either.

Thought I'd get another seeing as L4D2 is coming out and my brother will be staying at my place for a few months, I don't like to share controllers. Toysrus.ca had them for $44 and I found a $10 off coupon on the internets and had $10 in gift cards so it was pretty cheap.

It's not super amazing, and doesn't have a great perspective. It's not side scrolling, it's at a weird angle. But it's still fun. It doesn't change up all that much, it's just wave after wave of enemies, but any game that's inspired by the comics is a winner with me. Even the cutscenes are black and white with the original style artwork. It's getting poor reviews, and I understand why. I just don't care. I like it.

It's SOOOO good. And the case is red, and the Wii logo is blue foil. So that's how you know it's utterly amazing.
