So I'm finally joining the 90s and getting a next-generation video game system. Decided the time was right with the 60gb sku and price drop. I've made a list of some things I intend to buy at some point, what is missing from this list? I'm mostly a fan of RPGs, fighters, arcade racers, platformers (LOL) and anything generally considered "quirky". I do enjoy licensed shlock, but only if it is a license I enjoy (ie Batman, Yo Noid). I'm not much of an fps guy so yeah. Ninja Gaiden 2 Bioshock Blue Dragon Dead Rising Elder Scrolls IV GTA IV DOA 4 Top Spin 2 Ridge Racer 6 Sonic the Hedgehog Just kidding about that last one or am I?

Pick up Mass Effect too. And give the Orange Box a try. Even if you don't like FPS games, you'll probably LOVE Portal, and Half Life 2 is always good, and Team Fortress 2, while obviously better on PC, is a great game.

The Blue Dragon boss theme has to probably be one of the most annoying things ever because it just repeats and repeats and repeats and you don't get a different song for each boss battle it's just the same one over and over and over, but other than that it is good. Also for RPG games Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata aren't bad at all either.

It's not that I don't like fps games, I am a huge huge fan of the original Doom and Goldeneye, but nowadays there's too many of them and some of them make me sick (lookin at you, Red Faction). I do like it though when an fps comes along and tries something weirdly different and offbeat (XIII).

Isn't the Blue Dragon boss theme performed by the dude from Deep Purple?

Will do.
Weirdly enough I'm actually more eager to play XBLA stuff than the disc-based games. TMNT and Pac-Man CE will be mine.

It'll be awesome when we get to the end of Double Dragon and have to fight each other. Now all the 360 needs is Super Master Chief Kart and we'd be set

360 has a serious lack of kart racers I've noticed

Yeah, zero is pretty much as lacking as you can get.

I think it's safe to assume that a Geometry Wars sequel is more important than a cart racer Alex

Will do. Weirdly enough I'm actually more eager to play XBLA stuff than the disc-based games. TMNT and Pac-Man CE will be mine. I was not a fan of Pac-Man until Pac-Man: Championship Edition. It is a very fun sequel. One of my favorite XBLA games. You join us at the right time, as August is full of delicious XBLA titles, like Bionic Commando Rearmed and Castle Crashers. Plus, there's Too Human, if you're into PS2 games.

I'm still surprised anyone gave a shit about Too Human still in this day and age. Yeah, I was excited for it, back when it was a PSX game. A decade later, guess what. Don't give a shit. You made two great games, one good remake, and you sit back and talk like you're the greatest game developers ever? Shut the fuck up, Dyack.
