I was watching a streaming video of a guy playing the game and realized it's really fucking boring to watch someone else play the game. Regardless though I'm really looking forward to Sunday so I can pick up the game.
All I really want though is for Moving Pictures to get released already.

WTF is that Visions song? I don't want to have to play that shit in solo mode. That is the worst fucking song in a game ever.

Rock Band 2 has added in drum solos like they previously had for guitar in the first one. Why was I not aware of this? I can't wait to play this game.

I really want more novelty tunes. Still Alive and this aren't enough I guess that song from The Rocker counts too I suppose.

I was really disappointed when the rumors of the South Park 3 song pack were shot down. I want to play "Now You're a Man" by DVDA.

I'll probably pass on Rock Band 2/Guitar Hero 4. I enjoy the games, and they are real fun with a group of people, but I don't like it telling me what song to sing. I'll come back to the genre when it allows me to use songs off my HDD or MP3 player. Sometimes, I just want to go on an Elton John tear, and not have to sing some stupid Freezepop song.

This has been my main issue with the guitar game genre. Seriously, why can't we use our own songs?

Well in singing games all it has to do is analyze the pitch.
With everything else, just imagine how long it would take to analyze all the notes/ drum beats.

Thats not analyzing any instruments, it just does the beat to the song.

Yeah, Audio-Surf is mostly a glorified visualizer and you get points in. There are actual games that are free, like Frets On Fire that will allow you to use a USB guitar peripheral and create your own songs or download someone elses.
The fret work and the sound file are separate from each other, you have to manually create the fret work yourself. And if you don't have the MP3 of the song you downloaded, it's just you hitting buttons without sound.

And yes, although it's 40 smackers and will seemingly only have about 16 tracks on it if it's solely based on AC/DC Live at Donnington, I am going to buy it no questions asked.

Seeing as how "Let There Be Rock" is the most boring song to play in the game, I only play drums, I doubt I'm going to pick this up. It's ridicuously overpriced and I haven't stepped foot in a Wal Mart in over a year and I'd like to keep it that way. I'm not a big AC/DC fan anyway.

Honestly I think AC/DC is a very overrated band and the majority of their music sounds exactly the same. There are one or two tracks I would like to try, but I'm not going to shell out that kind of cash for a measly 18 tracks. For that price I can just buy a shitload of MS Points and get double the amount of music by bands I like.
