Anybody getting Lode Runner today? I would, but I've never liked Lode Runner. I also keep wanted to call it Road Runner, which doesn't remind me of the cartoon for some reason, but makes me want a next-gen version of Road Blasters.

Not paying that much for Lode Runner.

I still think Lode Runner doesn't deserve an "HD Upgrade" kind of game. It was fine as a C64 game, but I don't think it needs to exist anymore. I've never liked that game.

There is too much coming out on live this week. Between TIT, the new map packs for WAW, Zombies ftw, and some Rock Band songs I recently missed out on I'm screwed. Oh and add that into my Xbox Live account which expires next week. Sigh.

I totally miss that old school cartoon design of Shredder... and news reporter April, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady, Dimension X, and the turtle blimp.

I think the last time Alex & I played the other one together, we went pretty far. I THINK. Could totally be making that up though. Alex?
Perhaps we could all play Thursday night. I need one night of playing it by myself first.

I know I made it to Shredder with somebody on the 360 version, maybe I did it myself. I've never beaten him though, not even in the arcade. Fucking forget about the NES version, I'm lucky if I make it past stage three.

OMG... love this remake. I'm glad they didn't remove all references to the original cartoon and shoehorn in characters and designs from the cgi movie.

How far have you made it through? Is there any explanation as to why Tokka and Rahzar are the bosses on the pirate level as opposed to Bebop and Rocksteady?

I didn't realize the SNES port of this game was differnt from the arcade version of the game, which this is based off of. I don't even know if I'll bother with it as it's not really the game I remember playing.

I am also more familiar with the SNES version, haven't seen an arcade cabinet of this in a long ass time.
Who do I have to suck to get a Simpsons arcade port?

I've just always assumed that game must be a licensing nightmare.

Well I just beat the game... in less than 15 minutes. :/ I think the SNES version had more levels.

I don't see what the problem could be. I mean fuck, we got a Turtles in Time remake today... There was probably a deal made for Ubisoft with Konami that when they got the license, they got the old properties too. And now EA has the Simpsons, which really is all you need to say.
