Yeah well that's the way most shoot-em ups are. Certainly wasn't worth 1200 points but I'm a filthy slut for R-Type.
What the hell is with these 1200 and 1600 points games? Might as well just make them full retail titles at $60. Idiots would still buy them.

Oh, and with the MMPR refresh, Disney needs to get some dev team off their ass and make a totally awesome XBLA game, I'll settle for either a beat-em up or a fighter. YES. I would settle for a reimagining of the original SNES game but with the green ranger and enemies from the Genesis version (maybe include the Genesis version as the two-player mode), and cut scenes from the show. Or just port the Fighting Edition.

There are still a trove of old games that need XBLA updates. I would love to see NBA Jam and Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game even if they have to paste new characters in them. I'm sure the Wrestlemania arcade is a licensing nightmare.

NBA Jam would probably be a nightmare too, since the whole Midway deal, and would we really want an NBA Jam like game made by EA or Take 2?

EA did make NBA Street though didn't they? I always felt it was somewhat faithful to the spirit of NBA Jam.

I guess, but if that's the criteria, then Mario Hoops on the DS is NBA Jam 3.

It's fun and quirky, and the Final Fantasy characters were a nice touch. By Final Fantasy, I mean things from the originals, like Ninja, or a Mage, not characters with ACTUAL names. The biggest problem it had was the touch screen controls, which you'll either enjoy or hate.
Also, they need a sequel, since it came out right at around the time the DS was going online, and would be really awesome online with friends.

Any try out that new NBA game in the arcade section? It's heart is in the right place in being an NBA Jam clone...but it's still not a new NBA Jam

I wish they just did a port of NBA Jam or tried to improve on it.

I liked the demo. I'll probably buy it, half assed knockoff NBA Jam is better than nothing.

Shit. My credit cards are maxed out and there's like eight feet of snow out there so I can't get a points card.

If only the 360s controller were awesome for fighting games.

I'm getting along fine. I've gotten pretty used to it with fighting games, the d-pad of course blows, but I'm managing. What do arcade sticks run for these days? I've looked around here but I can't find any. I need one pretty much exclusively for Pac-Man since the 360 controller is holding me back from a higher score.

A good stick is pretty spendy. Madkatz made some AWESOME SFIV sticks, but they're way to expensive. I have one for my PS3 and use it to play the Namco Classics game all the time.

Yeah, it looks great. I'm also anticipating FEZ and I'm interested in seeing how the Perfect Dark update turns out.

For some weird reason I thought Fez was only coming out for PSN, but now I can't wait to play it even more.

Gaming sites had best get their asses in gear and let people know that it exists when it's closer to coming out. It could be this years Trials, Braid, Castle Crashers or 'Splosion man.
