When I look at the absolute shit Sega has been putting out since 2001, I can't help but think about Sonic Xtreme. What could have been? www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzvS_beXtXkQuite honestly, this game looks more fun than anything that's been put out in the last five years with Sonic's name on it (save maybe the original Sonic Advance and Sonic Rush). If Sega had spent more time on this game, and if everything went a little smoother with development, and if the final product was a solid game on the level of Super Mario 64, could it have saved the Saturn, and even Sega? If it was a success, would Sonic have needed his "mature" 1999 makeover? How different would the series be today if Sonic X-treme was a success on the scale of Super Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot?

Music was pretty cool. I liked how some of the ground had the properties of a liquid, heh.

The visual style of Mario Galaxy is SO similar to this, with the checkered patterns and the gay colors and all that shit. Seriously for the next Sonic game Sega should straight-up rip off Mario Galaxy.
