Less than two months to go. My shopping is almost done, I had 28 people to buy for this year. God bless online sales. You guys start your shopping yet?

I've bought for one person...I really have no idea what to get for most of the people I have to buy for. Luckily, my mom's family does a random gift exchange which requires me to not shop for a specific person.

I haven't started yet, and I feel guilty about Christmas, because of money being tight, I can't spend as much as I'd like on people.

I really wish my family would draw names and then buy for the person that you picked because there are so many of us but on the other hand, there are people that I really enjoy buying stuff for. I haven't started yet, and I feel guilty about Christmas, because of money being tight, I can't spend as much as I'd like on people. It's the thought that counts Nickels. Hell, take a look on eBay. I've bought 4 gifts for people on there. It's not just sellers selling second hand crap anymore, retailers are on there too. I've found some really good deals online on that hallmark site and www.personalizationmall.com as well.

Well, my dad's family still draws names, but about 4 years ago my mom's side decided to do it differently. Basically we segregate into two groups...guys and girls, and the guys have each bought one 'guy' present, and likewise for the females. Within each group, a random order is drawn and people pick out a gift from the pile in the order they draw. Then once they're open, bartering and exchanging goes on until everyone has the gift best suited for them. It's a ton of fun. Last year I got a huge bottle of Scotch and a bunch of candy.

True, and I think if I'm creative about it, I can manage to get everyone nice gifts for a reasonable price. Hell, some people might get ornaments.

What is it? Late October? I easily have at least a month and a half until I begin worrying about buying things.

Hahahaha, I love when people get me things, don't get me wrong, but I HATE getting ornaments. I'm just the kind of person who wants to take the tree down the millisecond after the last present is opened, otherwise I get depressed as hell.

People do christmas shopping before december 24th?

If possible I like to get my shopping done no later than the 2nd week of December. Parking at the mall is not fun any later than that.

I usually get it done within the first couple of weeks of December. It just doesn't feel like Christmas shopping doing it too early.

I started months ago because I hate doing it last minute. That, and I get my Christmas bonus and I tend to spend it on others instead of myself if I still have people to buy for. This year, Liser is buying herself a big tv.

Anybody get anything totally awesome? I got Lego Rock Band, God of War Collection, Family Guy Something Something Something Darkside on Blu-Ray, Beatles remasters of Let It Be and Rubber Soul, the complete Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, and Death From The Skies, a book by an astronomer guy that I've followed for a few years about all the theories of how the universe will kill us all and the likelihood of it happening.

Be careful. Booze is a slippery slop. One minute your drinking an appletini, next thing you know you're downing nail polish remover and posting about not remembering the previous night on Facebook. I'm just warning you Ben. I trust you can exhibit drinking restraint.

Thanks for the warning about drinking J.J. as I've never really done it before, but figured that since I'm Canadian I should at least try it once. (500) Days of Summer on DVD Have you watched that yet? I don't want to blind buy it, but the damn downloaded copy always says 'Corrupted Date' on my PS3.

I'm REALLY interested in seeing it. I've added it to my Netflix queue, so maybe if I ever get around to sending back this anime I've had since June I may actually get it.
