... or shouldn't have been, depending on your view of licensed games. As I look back over the massive catalog of licensed schlock on the NES, I can't help but wonder, WHY, HOW did these franchises avoid being made into games?
This one is obvious here. It's the mid '80s. Pee-wee's Big Adventure is a cult smash, the dude even gets his own TV show, toys, dolls, even a Colorforms playset, but WHERE in the hell was the video game?! Such a concept, correctly translated into a game could actually have been quite decent.
Muppet Babies. This is another one I have no idea how it escaped being turned into a shitty sidescroller. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there was a Muppets game on the NES, but here we are, mid 80s, Muppet Babies is popular, Nintendo is popular, yet no game.
Super Mario Bros: The Movie: The Game. This one speaks for itself.
The California Raisins game really should have been released. I've played it, it was actually pretty good.

A-Team. We got Knight Rider, we even got Airwolf, but for some reason there was never an A-Team video game.

NASCAR. Yeah, we got Bill Elliott's abomination and Days of Thunder's equally-upsetting game, but imagine how much further they'd be in graphics if they'd made an official NASCAR title for the 8-bit.
