I give up on the virtual console. I'm going back to finding old cartridges. It's easier and less expensive.

Hey, a new VC game! It's the arcade version of Tecmo Bowl.

Someone must have sent a nasty e-mail to them or something. Good to hear.

Hey, a Virtual Console game that's not totally phoned in or just dusted off for no reason. Super Star Wars. I LOVE the SNES Super Star Wars games.

Nintendo FINALLY has some sense in their skulls and realized that it's fun to release holiday themed things on the update before the holiday. Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES) hits today. And some Mario Party knock off with ghosts hits WiiWare, but that doesn't matter.

I need to buy Super Mario Kart.

Yes, I've been waiting patiently.

Smash Bros! Though it's too late for me, I would've impulsively bought it during the horrible wait for Brawl when it should have hit the vc.

I don't even really like the original Smash Bros. It's was great, but I'm not spending 10 bucks on a game I already own and the games that came after were better. It's not like Mario 3 and Mario World where each one is uniquely awesome in it's own particular way.

I considered getting Smash Brothers, but opted for King Of Fighters 94 instead.

I haven't purchased anything from the store in a while. Not because there isn't anything I want, I just haven't. I REALLY want that new Excitebike game they put up. It's got leaderboards and everything.

I thought about getting Excitebike, but I've only got 600 points left, so it's either get an NES game, or buy more points.
JJ, you didn't get Blaster Master?

I own Blaster Master. And it's not one of those games I got back to very often.

Is Contra Rebirth worth taking a look at?

TOTALLY. If you care anything about Contra, you should check it out. PLUS the final stage ends with you getting rescued by a helicopter. Oh, that doesn't sound weird to you? It's a helicopter ON THE MOON.

Sweet! When I get more points, that and Mario Kart are the first things I'm getting. Also, I bought SMB for the VC, despite the fact I have no less than three versions of it already.

*Blows dust off of the thread*
Hey, did you know Nintendo FINALLY updated the Virtual Console again today? It's been a month since the last game, and they updated it something that's CLEARLY going to have to be something special. What is it? A new classic N64 game? No no. Something only released in Japan? Absolutely not. Nope. Today they release Aero the Acrobat.

They're just abusing the service now.

It's like they found a dead body and just started poking it with the closest stick.

They could at least put some crap on there that is actually good. Like Yo Noid. Or Cool Spot.
Licensing nightmares?

Cool Spot is hell probably, since Virgin went under and had it's assets acquired by a company that itself is no longer around.
Yo Noid is something interesting. They could actually probably release that game if Dominos and Capcom hooked up together. If nothing else, they could release the Japanese game that Yo Noid was made from.

It'd be free advertising for Domino's if nothing else. And it was actually a decent game.

So...are the Tales of Monkey Island worth purchasing? I need my fix 'til the third installment comes out on XBLA.

Yes, they are good. Better on PS3 or or PC, but still good.
