It will only work if it's like XBL. One flat fee for a years worth of gaming. You spend 50 bucks, never think about it until they email you, and you actually feel like you're getting what you pay for.

Most people seem to believe they are planning an MMO, which if it was produced by Nintendo could actually be amazing.

Now that I think about it, a Mario MMO would be awesome. I'm thinking something like a Mario/Animal Crossing crossover. Everyone could start out as a customizable Mario clone like in that Mario 128 demo, or maybe a Toad or a Yoshi or a Koopa, and you could buy your own house and buy things for that house ala Animal Crossing, and there would be this huge sprawling landscape where you can interact with other people, race karts, play tennis or golf, or go platforming. It'll never happen though.
