Oh lordy. My DS has been in sleep mode for over a week. It's STILL going, though it's hot as a stove.

I am ultra paranoid with my electronics, I can't believe I let that happen. Now I'm afraid that it's gonna exploderate.

Sega found a new way to milk it's fans. In March, they're releasing Sonic 1-3 and Ka-nuckles on one cart. So yeah.

I fucking need the new LoZ game more than a hooker needs 20 dollars for a half and half.

Some magazine in Europe apparently got the official scoop that Jackson created the music for Sonic. Not even "but they later changed it" kind of thing, just he made it, didn't like the quality of the sound and didn't want to be credited for it.

Which is odd, because it has an amazing soundtrack wonder why he didn't like it? I'm curious if this will let you play Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 with Knuckles, or atleast 3 since Sonic & Knuckles is like half a game without it.

It's good for 16 bit chipset tunes, but as a full blown artist, hearing a the finished product must have been something underwhelming.

Trains are way more awesome and work surprisingly well in a Zelda universe.

I saw the new AARP DS in this month's Nintendo Power. That is hilarious, I knew it was gonna happen.

So I bought Sonic Chronicles. I may come back later and post my impressions. If not, then I'm probably at Game Crazy with a gun pressed against the head of a kitten demanding my $20 back.

I never finished it, after about 20 minutes of "HEY! This is a unique twist on Sonic!" you get tired of it and realize that there isn't any speed in the game at the fuck all.

It's decent. It's not a Sonic platformer obviously, it doesn't need to be fast all the time. It's not the greatest RPG ever, but it's fun. It's better than M&L: PiT by miles. And it's neat that it goes pretty deep into the series' surprisingly rich backstory. It's just totally average though, I expected better from Bioware. Given what they had to work with though, I think they did okay.

Final verdict: 2 cans of Sonic pasta out of 5. It's just not... fun. The game is WAY too short for an RPG, the battles are lame, and Sega's cast of characters blow. If you're looking for an RPG for your DS, juice and jam, keed. Sonic Chronicles is nooo goood.
If Bioware does another one, for the love of god, base it on the '90s Saturday morning series. Sega's Sonic universe is too shallow for an RPG. There just isn't enough substance and the dialogue is yawn inducing. The Saturday morning/Archie universe would fit an RPG like a glove.

I bought it and the KORG synthesizer this past Saturday. If I knew how the fuck to work it right, I could make some kickass jams.
Aaanyway, I finally got around to setting my DS up for Wi-Fi. What games do y'all play on it? I have Mario Kart and Clubhouse Games...and the Guitar Hero games, but I'm not sure how that'd work out online.

I'm curious as to how many "hawt beats" I can sabotage online by adding the silly effects to everyone's masterpieces.

So. A brand new successor to the DS has been announced. It will feature glassesles 3D. I know it sounds incredibly lame, but as a person that has played 3D games before, 3D gaming is actually a lot cooler than it sounds. Much more interesting than watching Star Trek just with added depth perception.
