I'm waiting for the TRU $25 gift card deal, but if I came across it at Best Buy...how could you resist?

Game of the motherfucking decade. Super Mario 64 couldn't carry Super Mario Galaxy's jock strap.

So, remember how I said Target said I couldn't get it until tomorrow, well, I got the ball rolling, and they realized it does go on sale today, despite what the ad says. Needless to say, I feel like I'm 11 all over again.

I haven't been this giddy playing a video game since Ocarina of Time.

This is what I said at WF, and I mean it with 100% sincerity. Galaxy reminds me why I am so obsessed with gaming. With all the glitz and glamor that games have these days, Mario Galaxy is exactly how I remember gaming. It's not difficult, but it's a challenge. It's pretty and bright, it's sweet and light hearted. It doesn't have to make a whole hell of a lot of sense, and I just sit there, occupied and having good, clean, genuine fun. I'm in love with this game. Game of the year.

Also, did you notice on the boot up warning screen that they put the Wii Jacket on the Wii remote?

This could very well be my new favorite game of all time. I know I'm only a few hours in, but I haven't felt this happy with a video game in a long time. This is the game I wanted Super Mario Sunshine, even Super Mario 64 to be.
I'll never forget seeing footage of Super Mario 128 back in 2000, but I was so disappointed when they gave us Sunshine instead of a real Mario game. It wasn't that "leap" I was hoping it would be. Super Mario Galaxy is truly a revolution.
I'm gonna go jerk off now

Went to TRU. Waited in line for 3 hours. Came away empty handed.
Their truck didn't even come. It sucked big balls. If they don't get it tomorrow, I'm just going to say screw the gift card, I'ma goin' to Besta Buy, wahoo!

I preordered it at Game Crazy, but they couldn't sell it until 5:00 because they had to do inventory. Indifferent smiley. I just went to Wal-Mart and got it. They finally called me at 7:30 to let me know I could come pick it up... gee thanks assholes.

I asked my mom when Mario was coming in at Target, she asked her coworker in electronics, she said Wednesday. My mom mentioned how crazy it was that "we" were selling it a day later than most other retailers were advertising it for. She realized that was crazy, and let her pick it up today. HOORAY CONNECTIONS!

Did you notice the Toad with glasses JJ? I immediately thought of you when I saw that.
I like how Toads have slowly morphed into Smurfs.

The first thought in my head when I saw him was "Oh man, Alex is going to immediately think of me, or Brainy Smurf". And really, us two are interchangeable.

Smurfette = Toadette Papa Smurf = Toadsworth Brainy Smurf = Brainy Toad Nintendo are a bunch of thieving bastards. Oh well, the Smurfs did preach communism. We need a Vanity Toad.

I bet you, sometime in the future, the DS is going to see a Toad Adventure RPG, like the Dragon Quest Rocket Slime Adventures game.

*extremely minor spoiler early on in the game* . . . I had no friggin' idea the super star was in this game. ("Rainbow" Mario)

I LOVE the disorientation the game provides. It adds an odd type of difficulty to the game. Unlike a game like, a favorite of mine, Resident Evil, where the camera is screwy and causes a feeling like you don't know which direction you need to push the joy stick, Mario Galaxy does it in a way that doesn't feel like the game is broken in that department.

Oh my god the Mario 3 music in the ball rolling level...amazing. I just played through Mario 3 before buying this game too, so it is fresh in my mind.
